Lounge Ax. 3/1/96. (Excerpt#1)

This was an epic set, the first of its nature for
the Dylan/Jeff/Phil/Thymme incarnation of the
band. There were several guests throughout the
evening, but the most memorable was the famous
drummer who visited (in a sense) at the set’s conclusion.
Along with the “Feldman Chord” and “Ice Cream And Lies,”
this is what we have here.

Phrogclock’s Polar Vortex

Our hapless phriend picked a bad winter to live in New York.
(Well, I suppose he would have been worse off had he stayed
in Chicago: It’s been cold!!!) And he picked a bad winter to have
landlord problems. Oh, poor Phrog! Here are two recent phone
calls, one where he leaves a message on (yes, this is the actual
name of his landlord) John J. Lease’s voicemail, and the other
where Mr. Lease returns his call. Hopefully Phrogclock was able to
get this matter resolved to his satisfaction.

Baltimore is always an adventure. Our previous time in Baltimore
entailed getting five minutes into our set before a Skinhead riot
occurred: A smoke bomb went off, the doorman got brass knuckled,
the venue was evacuated, and the rest of the show was cancelled.
(We were first.) This time out was slightly less exciting, but maybe
just as fun! I mean, you can’t beat a car alarm pulse simultaneously
playing against our “non-repeating pattern.” It’s like patting your head
and rubbing your stomach at the same time!
