For Each Other

we are buried
where we were born
under the stars an ancient
crown of glory
to shine our way home

we never lived
long enough to
know why the limbs reach above
and the roots dig below
hallowed ground

midnight wayside
moonlit flowers

(You are not here. I look around and I see that you are not here.
This is where we agreed. But you are not here. I’ll wait right here.)

marvel at the forest
see how tall they grow
dig your feet into the ground
all the way below
this is how they grow
all the way below

midnight wayside rendezvous
where I take my life for you
moonlit flowers in the snow
when you find what I left behind
you will let me go

death is not a metaphor
when it comes to dying
lie beneath the canopy
and close your eyes
for this is now your dream of death
to die for me

You Smile—The Song Is Over (2026, CD/DVD)

CHEER-ACCIDENT

This is our 27th full-length release, out on the most-singular/most-still-standing Cuneiform label. It is an ambitious little monster, with lots of density and lots of sprawl, and it’s the perfect catalyst to force you out of your idiotic, culturally imposed ADD stupor. We’ve been Enduring The American Dream for three decades now, so — surely — we are better at it… probably because the Dream has gotten so much bigger and there’s so much more to Endure. This hourlong investment of your time is perhaps the most potent example in recent memory of a work that oscillates between the poles of “When will it end?” and “I hope it never ends.” Therefore, it’s quite possible that, after the hour is up, you will decide to play it again. And it will be a mistake. And then it will be the best decision you ever made. And so on. Just to further embarrass the riches, this package also happens to include a DVD with live performances from the CheerAx Basement (2022) and Reggie’s (2023).

Everything Comes True

Everything Comes True

Jeff Libersher- guitar, bass, keys, b-vox
Bethany Smoker- vocals
Thymme Jones- drums, b-vox
Jordon Zadorozny- mixing

Mastered by Todd Rittmann

everything
because everything comes true
there is more to do
than we choose

everything
because everything seems new
we are blinded to
what we lose

everything
everything
everything
everything we choose

everything
everything we lose

everything
because everything slips through
there’s no limit to
what we use

everything goes on
(on forever)
everything goes on
(on forever)

repetition, repetition, repetition…

life without end

now that it’s all over
this is what comes after
when there is no end to come

everything
because everything comes true
there is more to do
than we choose

everything
because everything seems new
we are blinded to
what we lose

what we lose
(everything)
what we lose
(everything)
