3/22/01. WZRD
In 2001, we did a “tour” of Chicago area radio stations, playing at WZRD, WHPK and WNUR
in three nights. The audio from this excerpt is the way it sounded in the room, so there’s no feed from
the broadcast, and the bass is almost completely inaudible… but we thought that it made for an interesting
document, nevertheless. (Hey, pretend you’re experiencing the joy you had when you first listened to
“And Justice For All.”)

The clock stops breaking
And time stops trying now
The stairs stop climbing
And boys keep falling down
The clocks are chiming
The years are crying
crying
crying
fall out next of kin untie the divide
Your tears are falling
The sky is breaking down
The doorbell’s chiming
Time’s not invited
