We’ve been trying to keep the YouTube and
DVD worlds fairly separate. Honestly, the
Cool Clown Ground DVDs haven’t been
selling like the hotcakes I’d likened them
to. There had been a whole lotta interest
over the years (here in the U.S. and in Europe)
for us to put some episodes out on DVD. And
when we finally did, the reaction was largely
tepid (with small pockets of great enthusiasm).
I don’t know… Did we wait too long? Do people
no longer buy DVDs? I most definitely want to
release more, but we have to sell a few more
of this first one to justify such a venture. So,
hang in there! Perhaps the second four-episode
installment will come out within the next two decades!
Not sure why I chose the name “this” on that day, but oh well. If you can’t see my non-published email address, I can assure you that you know who you’re talking to… I think people prefer netflix these days, but I still buy DVDs. (and I usually buy all new C-A releases direct!) If the show is still running in two decades (even if it’s just in rerun form), that might make up for the lack of home releases. If the demand isn’t as high, maybe the solution is to make less, and/or self-release them on a smaller scale than you already had? I just miss Cool Clown Ground is all.
